Meet Khadijah

Hi, I'm the founder and tutor behind Bright Star Learning, with over three years of tutoring experience supporting learners across primary, secondary and adult education.

I hold a BA (Hons) in English from City St George's, University of London, and have experience teaching English, Maths, SATs and GCSE and Functional Skills preparation, as well as ESOL and supporting learners with additional learning needs.

I believe good tutoring is about more than getting the right answer. It's about understanding how a student learns, finding what is holding them back and creating a space where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving.

Every lesson is planned with the individual student in mind so they can leave not only knowing more, but feeling more confident in what they can do.

Professional. Structured. Tailored.

Every learner is different, so every lesson plan is built around the individual, not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

01

Structured Lessons

Clear lesson plans and consistent routines so students always know what to expect and can track their progress.

03

Tailored to the Learner

Lessons are adapted to each student's pace, learning style and goals, including support for additional learning needs.

Learning That Works Around the Student

Every learner is different. In a busy classroom, some topics may be covered quickly, leaving students without enough time to practise or fully understand a concept. Tutoring provides the opportunity to slow down, revisit difficult areas and strengthen what is being taught in school.

At Bright Star Learning, the student comes first. Lessons are tailored to their individual ability, pace, strengths and areas for improvement. I take the time to identify gaps in knowledge, explain concepts in ways that make sense to the learner and provide plenty of opportunities to practise.

I use a range of teaching methods and resources, including visual explanations, worked examples, interactive activities, quizzes, worksheets and exam-style questions. I adapt these approaches depending on what works best for each student.

Whether a learner is preparing for SATs or GCSEs, strengthening their English or Maths, developing their English through ESOL, or returning to education as an adult, I aim to help them build both understanding and confidence.
